The company is listening, it appears, because their newest line improves big time on that aspect.

Acer announced its new 2010 Aspire Timeline 3810TG series – to be sold first in the Korean market, according to reports. The specs as reported are pretty nice as well, including Intel’s latest CPU marvel.

The laptop includes Intel’s latest Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor packaged with 4GB DDR3 RAM, a roomy (for a laptop anyway) 320GB hard disk drive, an ATI Radeon HD4330 graphics card and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

It’s got the thinness many desire these days too, measuring less than 1-inch thick and its easy to tote around too, weighing 1.7kg. The 3810TG also supports a 13.3-inch HD display with 1366 x 768 resolution and the aforementioned long-life 9-cell battery pack that provides up to 12 hours of operation time.

The Acer 2010 Aspire 3810TG Series is priced at 1,000,000 Won or approx. $866 USD, a very competitive price tag considering its features.

Yet another very nice deal launched recently with Verizon and Gateway.

Verizon is poised to release the Gateway LT2016U (which to be fair, is the Acer Aspire One D250 with Gateway clothing over it).

Features: a 10.1-inch display with 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard disk drive, webcam, and Microsoft Windows XP Home (standard on many netbooks nowadays). It also has a Qualcomm Gobi 3G module which supports internally both CDMA EVDO and EDGE/UMTS/HSPA 3G data courtesy of Verizon.

The Gateway LT2016U will be priced at $249.99 after $100 rebate with 2-year contract agreement, so there’s a bit of a “catch”, but the price is tough to beat.

Acer has themselves released a new notebook with an HD screen as well with very solid stats.

The codenamed Aspire One D250 netbook has a 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 720 resolution as opposed to 1024 x 600 typical of this level of of laptop. We welcome the trend, as the previous resolutions weren’t suitable for games and the like.

While, the rest of the specs remain solid: 1.60GHz Intel Atom N270, 1GB RAM, roomy 160GB HDD, webcam, and also in a welcome inclusion: Windows XP SP3 OS and a 6-cell battery for slightly longer battery life.

Apparently, this one is already out for pre-order in Norway and should be available in more territories by August or so.

It starts with a sharp 11.6-inch display with 1366 x 768 res, a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor (one of the higher end Atom processors), a Intel GMA500 graphics adapter (not really for high-end games), 2GB RAM (double the usual amount), a 250GB Hard Drive, WiFi, Bluetooth, a webcam and includes Windows Vista OS.

You can pre-order this netbook for $399.99 (3-cell battery) and $449.99 (the longer life 6-cell version).

Acer is positioning themselves quite well in the netbook market with this release.
